Tired of Itchy, Sleepless Nights? Stop Being a Bed Bug’s Midnight Snack!

Bed bugs make poor bedfellows, and bed bug bites leave behind itchy red welts which can last for weeks. Bed bugs are one of the toughest household pests to get rid of, so go with a pro for bed bug treatment.

Think You May Have Bed Bugs? Act Quickly Before The Infestation Spreads

As with everything, bed bug infestations are most easily treated in the early stages. One female bedbug can have up to 500 offspring, meaning that their numbers can quickly soar if left unchecked! Our professional pest control specialists will ensure that every last bedbug is killed and your infestation is brought to an end.

Our Bed bug Control Process

Site Assessment

We begin all of our treatment plans with a site assessment. Our pest control professional will perform a bed bug inspection and assess the severity of your infestation. We’ll discuss our findings with you, and explain your best treatment options.

9

Pre-Visit Bed Bug Checklist

Due to the complexity of getting rid of bed bugs there are some steps that homeowners will need to take before we treat your home. We’ll provide you with a checklist explaining how to wash your sheets, linens, and pillows, along with a few additional steps.

9

Bed Bug Treatment and Sniffer Dog Check

For bed bug removal we use both high heat and chemical treatments. This combination of treatment methods is essential and is why DIY bed bug extermination is rarely effective. After this first round of extermination we use a trained sniffer dog to identify any leftover hiding places which may have been missed and spot treat these areas as needed.

Follow-up Visit

When treating for bed bugs it is common for a few bed bug eggs to survive and thus a second treatment will be required. This does not mean the first treatment was ineffective – bed bugs eggs are placed in hard to reach crevices and are resistant to insecticides. As long as the follow up happens before the nymphs have time to lay eggs of their own (~3 weeks), their life cycle will have been broken and your infestation will be over.

Results

After our follow-up visit you’ll have peace of mind knowing that your bed bug problem has been fully eradicated. We recommend remaining vigilant and our experts will provide you with tips to prevent the reintroduction of bed bugs into your home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bed bug on grey fabric
What are signs of bed bugs in my house?

The clearest evidence of bed bug activity is their droppings. These red-brown smears resemble blood stains and show up prominently on light colored sheets.

Bed bug bites themselves are hard to distinguish from other types of insect bites, but can be an indicator that something may be wrong. Unlike many other insect bites, the welts develop slowly, only fully emerging after 1-3 days.

Adult bed bugs are visible to the naked eye, although are quite small so you’ll need to look carefully. Inspect along the seams of your mattress and mattress covers. The adults have six legs, are flat, brown and about 3/16 of an inch long (about the size of an apple seed). After they’ve fed they’re rounder and redder.

How do you get a bed bug infestation?

Bed bugs are amazing hitchhikers – capable of crawling into luggage set down in an infected hotel room or arriving with used furniture.

When buying used furniture, particularly mattresses, box springs, bed frames, and even couches, it is important to look for signs of bed bugs before moving them into your house.

In hotels you’ll want to check the bed for bed bugs before settling in. If you see any signs of bed bugs immediately request to move rooms and don’t settle for an adjacent room as bed bugs naturally spread out to surrounding areas.

Do bed bugs spread disease?

Despite being an itchy nuisance which can disrupt your sleep, bed bugs do not actually transmit any illnesses! The bites are prone to infection, but if kept clean will heal without a problem.
